Marthann "Martha" Meyers, age 85, of 2260 Whitetail Run, Warsaw, Indiana, passed away at 3:45 a.m., on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at her home following an extended illness. Martha was born on December 31, 1925, in Plymouth, Indiana. She was the only child of Otto K. and Edith (Cummins) Duddleson. Martha grew up in the Plymouth and Warsaw areas. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School. Martha's first marriage, to Bernie Eads, blessed them with their only child Darcy. On December 30, 1974, Martha married Paul E. Meyers. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2002. They resided at Lawrence Lake, in Plymouth, for several years before moving to Mission, Texas in 1989. Martha and Paul were avid snowbirds traveling all over the United States in their motor home. While living in Texas, Martha taught ceramics and oil painting. She loved to embroider and sew. After her illness, she moved to Warsaw, where she remained until her death. Martha was the Children's Librarian at the Plymouth Public Library for many years. She had just celebrated her 85th birthday, with her family, and was able to meet her newest great-grandchild Dexter, born December 27, 2010. Martha loved to dance to the big band era songs from the 40's. She loved her family, friends, and music. We'd like to think she is now dancing with the angels in Heaven! Martha is survived by her loving daughter, Darcy (Eads) Shafer of Larwill, Indiana; her grandchildren, Darton Lane (Shauna) Shafer of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Destiny Lenae (Shafer) (Joseph) Stephens of Columbia City, Indiana; her five great-grandchildren, Gavyn Paul Stephens, Bryson Anthony Stephens, Payton Elise Shafer, Mallory Claire Shafer all of Columbia City, and Dexter Lee Shafer of Fort Wayne.
