Martin Aivars Krumins, at the age of 76, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Monday, January 30, 2012. Martin was a devoted husband, an amazing father, a loving grandfather, a wonderful friend and a very special man. He will be dearly missed by many.
He is survived by his children Martin A. Krumins, Jr. and Yvonne Krumins Johsnon; his grandchildren Kevin Paul, Mila Angele, Audrey Clare and Nola Michelle; his sister Enta Timbra, his son-in-law Kevin Johnson, his daughter-in-law Shana Bernards and many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia A. Ross; his parents Fricis Krumins and Malvine Anna Lagdzins; his six sisters and one brother.

Martin was born in Saldus, Latvia and immigrated to the United States in 1948 after the second World War. While very proud of his heritage, he was also a grateful and proud American who served his country and never took for granted the opportunity he had been given. He had a 38 year career in Purchasing with Domino Sugar and most recently worked as a Deputy with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department.
