Marvin was born on October 25, 1971 to Dorothy Rodgers and Floyd Alexander. His father, Floyd Alexander, step father, Willie Banks and brother, Carl Rodgers all preceded him in death. Marvin confessed his life to Christ at an early age at New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Elijah Smith. Marvin received his education in the Normandy School District. He united in holy matrimony on September 23, 2000 to his childhood sweetheart, Danner Crystal Frenchie. To this union two children were born, Marvin Alexander Jr. and Amairah Alexander. Marvin was known as a jokester. He loved to make people laugh and smile. Marvin was also an entertainer, he was CEO of O.C. Entertainment along with special friend, Richard Banks, and they pushed the music of local rap artists and special friends (Kayl) from St. Louis, MO to East St. Louis, IL and other towns, and from there he became a local celebrity. Marvin was employed as a supervisor with Haberstron Insurance Company. He spoke very highly of this position and his co-workers. Marvin went to his heavenly home on May 6, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted and loving wife, Danner C. Alexander; 1 daughter, Amairah Alexander; 1 son, Marvin Alexander, Jr.; his mother, Dorothy Banks; 2 sisters, Olivia Jackson (Billy) and Fannice (Theo) Rodgers; 1 brother, Jerome Rodgers; 3 sisters-in-law, Fay Smith, Debra Frenchie and Tracy (Kevin) Frenchie; 3 brothers-in-law, Andre (Bretina) Harris, Byron Frenchie (Jackie) and Pierre Harris (Angie) Frenchie; 8 half sisters and brothers; a host of other relatives and friends. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Marvin Alexander. You are invited to add a Tribute in his memory.
