Mary Ann Goldsberry, 81, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012, at her home in Royal Oak, Michigan. Born in Detroit, Michigan on June 6, 1931, to Ion and Ethel (nee Deja) Ramsey, Mary Ann was raised in Detroit and graduated from Denby High School in 1949. Mary Ann married Robert Goldsberry in 1951, and, after living in Detroit and Alpena, settled in Grosse Pointe in the early 1960's where she raised her four children. In 1972, she began her lengthy career as a court administrator at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, where she worked until 1985, when a career opportunity arose in Fresno, California, allowing her to pursue her lifelong dream of living on the West Coast. Mary Ann was the Chief Deputy of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California at Fresno until her retirement. Mary Ann loved playing bridge, traveling, going to the movies and spending time with her many beloved friends and her family. She will be missed. Mary Ann is survived by her sons Martin (Julie) Goldsberry, John Goldsberry, and Richard Goldsberry, and her daughter Elizabeth Goldsberry (Michael McLaughlin). She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter Annalise Goldsberry, sister Sharon Ramsey, nephew John Goldsberry and nieces Susan Hobson and Ann Groves-Miltz. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in the summer of 2013.
