Mary Anne Pallette Bisek, 71, passed away October 31, 2009, in her son's home in Elizabeth City, NC surrounded by the love of her family. A lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, VA, she was the eighth of nine children born to William H. (Jake) and Lillian Pallette. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter George Bisek; sisters, Alma Johnson and Faye Agee; and brothers, William (Pluck) Pallette and Aubrey Pallette. She is survived by her son, Bobby Allen and wife Betsy of Elizabeth City, NC; step-son, Craig Bisek and wife Karen of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Justin Allen of Hampton, VA, Travis Allen of Elizabeth City, NC, Phillip White-Bisek and wife Jennifer of Chesapeake, VA and Jennifer Harrell and husband Charles of Virginia Beach, VA; five great-grandchildren, Troy Bisek, Madison Harrell, Conner Harrell, Ethan White-Bisek and Mckenzie White-Bisek; two sisters, Jean Wright and husband Richard of Richmond, VA and Betty Wise of Virginia Beach, VA; and two brothers, Shelby Pallette and Roy Pallette, both of Virginia Beach, VA; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 7th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and a celebration of her life will be conducted Sunday, November 8th at 1 p.m. The visitation and celebration will take place at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. A committal service will immediately follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park, Ten Commandments Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Albemarle Hospice, P.O. Box 189, Elizabeth City, NC 27909. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to caregivers, Christina Hollingshead and Debbie Dyer, and to her daughter-in-law Betsy Allen who was there everyday.
