AVON LAKE, OH  Mary M. Carr (nee Thorne), age 78, of Westlake and formerly of Lorain passed away at her home Sunday, September 28, 2008. She was born January 31, 1930 in Ward, West Virginia the daughter of the late James Mitchell and Jesse Frances (nee Lucas) Thorne and was a homemaker. Mrs. Carr is the mother of Michael, James, Orson and the late Marvin Carr; grandmother of ten and great grandmother of many; sister of Russell Thorne, Ruth Spears, Jean Potter and Frances Carpenter and the late James Thorne and the aunt of many. Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 32000 Detroit Rd. Avon Wednesday, October 1, from 11:00am until time of services at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland.
