CODER, MARY LENORA age 76, died on November 24, 2009. A resident of Allen, Texas, Lenora was born January 21, 1933 in Ringling,OKlahoma to Herman and Eleanor Parker. Lenora was a 1949 graduate of Adamson High School and retired from the Mobil Oil Corporation in 1987. A member of First Baptist Church, Richardson, Lenora was always active in Mission Service Corp volunteers through the Southern Baptist Convention's Foreign Missions Board; having served in Zimbabwe, Africa and London, England. Lenora enjoyed researching her genealogy which resulted in her becoming an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Plano Chapter.
Lenora is survived by her husband, Bob Coder; her sister, Pauline Grubbs of San Angelo; son, Mike Young and wife Kay of Duncanville; daughters, Linda Thoreson and husband, Bill of Dallas, Barbara Clayton of Dallas; Karen Willis and husband Richard of Colleyville as well as 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild due in January.
Visitation is November 29, 2009 from 2:00-4:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00PM at Restland Memorial Park. Memorial services will be 2:00PM, Monday, November 30, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Richardson, TX. Officiating will be Dr. Darold Morgan who married Bob and Lenora 42 years ago. Memorials may be made to the Hawaii Baptist Academy via First Baptist Church, Richardson, DAR Plano Chapter or the charity of your choice.
