Mary E. Booth, 65, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Born in South Bend, Mary retired from the City of Fort Wayne in 2005 after 18 years of service and was a reserve Fort Wayne police officer for 8 years. Surviving are her daughters, Penny Booth, Jackie (Don Bireley) Booth and Barbara (David Bruner) Booth all of Fort Wayne, grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, Alissa and Shyanne and sister, Joyce Jackson of Fort Wayne. Mary was preceded in death by husband of 31 years, Howard "Jack" Booth. Private services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with Chaplin Robin La Rue officiating. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
