Mary E. "Betty" Denman Harrison, 82, of Florham Park, passed away Monday August 23, 2010 at King James Care Center in Chatham. She was the beloved wife of James C. Harrison for 59 years. She was born Mary Elizabeth Denman on May 12, 1928, in Morristown, daughter of the late Elizabeth May Roe and Theodore A. Denman. Betty graduated from Morristown High School in 1947, after which she was employed as a bookkeeper by Harold Peterman Accountants and later at Morristown Typewriter Exchange. Betty moved with husband and son, Richard, to Florham Park in 1964, and until recently spent every summer since 1951, in Ocean Beach, NJ. She enjoyed the camaraderie of friends and family throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert J. Denman in 1989. In addition to her husband James she is survived by son Richard C. Harrison and his companion Anne Shakely, of Butler, PA. and brother Thoedore J. Denman and his companion Bernadette Brehm of Morristown, sister-in-law Evelyn A. Denman of Morris Plains and many nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to King James Care Center 415 Southern Blvd. Chatham, NJ. or St. Huberts Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Ave. PO Box 159, Madison N.J.
