Funeral services for Mary Ella Fritcher, 93, of Caldwell are set for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caldwell. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Strickland Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11th with a Rosary being led at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Fritcher passed aaway on July 9, 2011. Mary Ella was born March 28, 1918, to Louis E. Charanza and Julia Kuchera Charanza in Caldwell, Texas. She married Joe Frank Fritcher on November 20, 1940. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Joe Smith several years and for Whites Auto store for nearly 20 years. Mary Ella was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society and the Rosary Circle. She was a member of the SPJST Lodge of Caldwell, a life member of the VFW Auxillary #4458 and a member of the American Legion Auxillary #451 of Caldwell. Mary Ella is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Floyd J. Fritcher, Sr. of Caldwell, Robert (Bob) & Lena Fritcher of Bryan, special friend and sister-in-law, Jennie Fritcher of Caldwell; brother-in-law, Edward Fritcher and wife Joann of Houston; grandchildren, Floyd J. & Amy Fritcher, Jr., John Clayton & Candy Fritcher, Kristi & Tykie Leventis, Jennifer & Jarod Velasquez; great grandchildren, Hayley Fritcher, Grace Fritcher, Nolan Leventis, Braxton Fritcher, Camille Velasquez; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Ludwig, Louis and Henry Charanza; three sisters, Lydia Matus, Julia Hruska and Toney Hruska. The family requests memorials be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
