Mary Ellen Emrick , 70, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Mary worked as a printer with Guardian Photo Lab, retiring in 1992. Mary was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 241 and the VFW 1421 Auxiliary. She was a devoted wife and mother. Mary enjoyed playing cards with the grandchildren and being at the lake. Surviving are her husband, Gordon Emrick of Fort Wayne; daughters, Cheryl (Nicholas) Emrick-Puccini and Heather (Allan) Young both of San Francisco, CA; sons, Gregory (Laura) Emrick of Columbia City, Jeffery (Michelle) Emrick of Columbia City; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Lynn Emrick; brother, Von (Connie) Grogg of Fort Wayne. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Von and Geraldine Grogg; son, Brian Emrick; grandson, Glenn R. Emrick; sister, Coleen Groh and brother, Michael Grogg. Funeral service is Tuesday 10 am at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. with calling one hour prior to service, Pastor Steve Johnson officiating.
