Mary Hazel LaCour passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012, at the age of 100. She was born on March 3, 1911, in Isle Brevelle, Louisiana to the late Louis and Jeanetta LaCour. She was united in marriage to Matthew LaCour and they were blessed with seven children. She was the loving mother of Roy (Kelly), Betty J. Domingue, Wilfred (Delores), Barbara Roque (James), Eugene (Lois), Vera Nell LeGaux (Raymond), and Vincent (Nellie). She leaves behind a host of 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Matthew LaCour, all of her siblings, as well as her son-in-law Norman Domingue, her daughter-in-law June LaCour, and her grandson Michael Domingue.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 7300 Crowder Boulevard in New Orleans on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:00am.
