Fitchburg- Mary J. (Buja) "Goodchild" Langlois, 93 of 6 Longedge Avenue, died Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Golden Living Center after an illness. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Goodchild who died in 1963 and also the wife of the late Raymond Langlois who died in 1989. She leaves one daughter and son-in-law Carol and Duane Renaldi of Chicopee, and one son and daughter-in-law James J. Goodchild and his wife Sandra, one daughter-in-law Ann Goodchild all of Fitchburg, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law Della Buja and Rochelle Buja both of Leominster, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sons, Wilfred Goodchild who died in 1982, and John F. Goodchild who died in 2005, three brothers, Henry Buja, Joseph Buja, and John Buja, and one sister Eva (Buja) Gentry. She was born in Fitchburg on February 28, 1916 a daughter of the late Andrew and Petronela (Metzelopas) Buja. She lifelong resident of Fitchburg, Mary worked as an Upholster for the former Selig Mfg. Company in Leominster for over 40 years retiring in 1981. She was a former member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Fitchburg Booster Club, and the Friendship Club at the Fitchburg Senior Center. She was a World Traveler, an avid Crotchetier; she loved to take trips to Foxwoods, and took many trips with the Senior Center. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net), 243 Water Street, Fitchburg, MA with a mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 240 Water Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Burial will follow in the St. Bernard's Cemetery, off St. Bernard's Street, Fitchburg, MA. Calling Hours will be in the Funeral Home on Monday, November 30, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA 02445 or may be left at the Funeral Home.
