Mary Jane "Sis" (Ford) Link was born on May 16, 1918, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Mary (O'Donnell) Ford. Mary Jane was baptized as an infant on June 2, 1918, by Father P. C. Maloney, and was later confirmed in her faith on October 7, 1930, by Archbishop Dowling both at St. George Catholic Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. She grew up on the Ford family farm north of town and enjoyed participating with the Helen Juniors 4-H Club. Mary Jane received her education in Glencoe, Minnesota, graduating with the Class of 1936. On November 10, 1951, Mary Jane was united in marriage to Robert Link at St. George Catholic Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. The couple made their home on the Link family farm near Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Jean, Robert "Bob," Jane and Joann. Mary Jane and Robert shared over 14 years of marriage, until Robert passed away on September 26, 1966. In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, in 1967, Mary Jane became a cook at Lincoln Elementary School in Glencoe. She was a faithful member of Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and enjoyed participating in bible studies there. Mary Jane enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening, cooking, caring for all the animals on the farm and traveling. She also enjoyed baking and even won an award for her bread at the Minnesota State Fair. Mary Jane loved music and you could often hear her whistling a tune or see her tapping her foot. Her greatest joy was her family and she cherished the time spent with them. Mary Jane passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 2 days. Blessed be her memory. Mary Jane is survived by her: Children, Jean Schmidt and her husband, Stan, of Glencoe, MN, Robert "Bob" Link and his wife, Lorrie, of Hutchinson, MN, Jane Thorson and her husband, Jerry, of Mesa, AZ, Joann Landkamer and her husband, Jeff, of Bloomington, MN; Grandchildren, Kate Schmidt of Gilbert, AZ, Anna Schmidt of San Tan Valley, AZ, Stacey Schneider and her husband, Mike, of Waconia, MN, Christopher Link and his significant other, Amber Kauffmann, of Stewart, MN, Sara Agne and her husband, Tim, of Phoenix, AZ, Laura Meyer and her husband, Todd, of Chandler, AZ, Nathan Landkamer of Roseville, MN; Great Grandchildren, Griffin, Gavin & Gracyn Schneider, Jaxson Link, Kitt Agne; Sister-In-Law, (Mrs. John) Laverne Ford of Glencoe, MN; Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mary Jane is preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Link; Parents, Edward and Mary Ford; Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Edward and Rose Link; Great Grandson, Mason Robert Link; Brothers, John Ford (1st wife: Theresa), Edward "Bud" Ford; Sisters-In-Law, Armella Link, Clara Waldoch (Jack), Ann Stepien (Wally), Fran Fleitman (Occie).
