After a lengthy illness, Mary passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on November 30th. She faced her ending with grace and courage. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 17th at 3:00 pm at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 5445 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS 66104.
Mary was born on September 4, 1951 to EJ "Bud" DeLancey and Phyllis Dewey DeLancey. Mary graduated from Oak Park High School in 1969 and attended Greenville Tech College where she received her LPN certificate. She went on to serve as an LPN helping others for many years. She leaves behind her parents; husband, Jerry; children, Tiffany Doak-Brooks, Jason Doak and Tracy Lane; siblings, Michael DeLancey, Donna Boyd and Thomas DeLancey and grandchildren, Austin, Haley, Jason, Aryan, Dylan, Kyle and Matthew.
