Mary was born in Oklahoma City on August 19, 1923 to Bertha D. Winton Chambers and Bryan J. Chambers, and grew up in Ft. Worth, TX. She is the mother of 6 children and many grand-children and great-grand-children and even 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bryan E. Logan (1998) and her grandson, Darrin Winslett (2004).

She resided at Parsons House and attended church at Dayspring Fellowship for 30 years where she was loved and will be missed by all. She has lived in Austin since 1966 and retired from the Veterans Administration where she worked as a computer programmer. Mary was very active in volunteer work, especially March of Dimes, and in her recent years was actively involved in the Kairos prison ministry. For many years, she was an avid walker as a member of the Volksmarch Club for which she received many medals.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, Feb 15, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Internment will follow at Onion Creek Cemetery.
