Mary Jo Meier, 59, of Rock Island, IL, died Sunday, November 20th, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island.

A funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the Christ the King Chapel on the St. Ambrose University Campus. There will be a rosary at 9:15 a.m. at the chapel. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., at 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the Juan Diaz Rancheros; a local organization using rescued horses to help at risk children.

Mary Jo was born on May 22, 1952 to Milo C. and Jeanne (Biesmann) Meier in Savanna, IL. She was employed by St. Ambrose University. Mary Jo loved to sing, listen to jazz music, and attend concerts. She also enjoyed hot air balloons, horses, and fireworks. She was a Cubs and Bears fan.
