Mary Kotnarowski (91) of Old Forge, died Sunday evening at the Allied Skilled Nursing Center. She is survived by her husband Joseph Kotnarowski with whom she celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on June 16th. Born in Old Forge on February 15, 1920 she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Galajda Lehchak. Mary was a graduate of Old Forge High School and before her retirement was employed by the former Maxon Plant of Old Forge. She was a lifelong parishioner of the former St. Michael's RC Church and currently a member of Mary of the Assumption RC Church, Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Also surviving her are a daughter Pat Griffin and her husband Larry of Douglasville, Ga.; a sister Helen Gambal and her husband Daniel of Old Forge; three grandchildren, Pam Smith, Laurie Chrisner and Meghan Pearce; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers George and Michael and a sister Pauline Hanna A blessing service with committal rites will be held on Friday at 10:00 A.M. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge by the Rev. Richard Fox. Interment will be at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allied Skilled Nursing Center 303 Smallacombe Dr. Scranton, Pa. 18501.
