Mary worked as a Printer with Guardian Photo Lab for retiring in 1981. She was a member of The Tillman Road Church of God and played the organ at church. Surviving are her ; daughter, Estella (Edward) Delight Fitzgerald., 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and several great grandchildren . Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Alva H Claxton, sons, Howard , Harold, and Garold Claxton, daughter, Rosemary Lindsay, 4 sisters, 1 brother, and 1 grandchild.
