Mary Louise Williams, 92, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Hitchcock House in Aiken, SC. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, AIken. Mary was born On May 3, 1920 in Indianola, Nebraska to the late Mary Magdalene Ryan and Charles Francis Suiter. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Claude H. Hale, Chester F. Bloden, Hubert C. Rodgers and Garland Brown Williams; a brother, Francis Joseph Suiter; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Kathleen Sorensen(Kirk), and Margaret Burns(Herbert); a daughter, Janet Hale Hammell; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Hale; a grandson, Jeffrey Hale; and a great-granddaughter Leah Kelly. She is survived by her brothers, James (Audrey) Suiter, McCook, Nebraska and Charles(Millie) Suiter, Omaha, Nebraska and by her children, Eleanor Hale Pratt (Del), Englewood, Colorado; Richard Hale, Lincoln, Nebraska; Arlene Hale Arnold(Richard), Brighton, Colorado; David(LaNora )Hale, Ottawa, Kansas and Laurie Hale Swift(Richard), Aiken, SC., her grandchildren, Mark Hammell (Linda), Jennifer Hammell, Randall Pratt(Eloina), Gregory Pratt, Gary Pratt(Christine), Brian Hale(Pam), Lisa Hale, Kristine Hale, Robert Hale, Theresa Krov Ongna(Philip), Kenneth( Pam ) Krov, Gena-Laurie Krov, Aaron (Merci)Hale, Spencer Hale Dale(David), Emily Hale McClure(Kevin), Jesse(Holly) Hale, Alea Hale Sparks, Matthew(Elizabeth) Swift and Sophie Swift Kelly (Chad) and 33 great grandchildren extremely special in her heart as well as five great- great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews and their children as well as present and past friends were remembered by her as she recalled her life. A grandson by marriage, Jeremiah (Erika) Schwartz and a child by marriage, Melody Brinkley(Buddy) ministered to her many times in her last years with us on earth. Mary Louise's relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ was evident throughout her life. Raised Roman Catholic, she learned the order found in attending worship and trusting God with life's big choices. As she grew in her knowledge of Jesus, she praised him from a heart open to his leading. She was a member of Cedar Creek Church, instrumental in its founding and growth. Mary will be remembered for her commanding spirit, leadership, and encouraging words. In her life she studied Elementary Music Education (BA) and Elementary School Administration (MA) being a music teacher and then an elementary principal for many years in Westside Schools, Omaha, Nebraska. She then taught Elementary education at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Always a sales woman, she sold Ford cars, Mary Kay Products, Beauty Control Products, and ran a $1 store at her assisted living center. Over the years she was the president of many organizations, sang and directed many choirs and choruses and taught piano, organ and voice in her home studio, Studio 2100. There will be an informal memorial service and reception on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 4pm at Cedar Creek Church, Youth Worship Center. Mary will be buried next to her first husband, Claude Hale, in Olinger's Mortuary, Denver, Colorado.
