Mrs. Mary M. Sands, 91 of Taylors died Saturday, October 22, 2011. Mrs. Sands loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul and was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Toccoa, Ga. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Mr. Frank T. Sands, Jr.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Joe Harding of Greenville; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Sands, III and Julie Sands of Bandera, TX, Randy and Julie Sands of Scottsdale, AZ; nine grandchildren, Trevor Smart, C. J. Harding, Amanda Sands, Cassie Sands, Brittany Fout, Samantha Sands, Allie Sands, Tad Sands, Ben Sands; and two great-grandchildren, Caitlin Smart and Kailey Fout.
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to her neighbors in Taylors, staff at K & W, and the staff and caregivers at the Cascades for all of their loving care and support. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26th at two o'clock at The Mackey Mortuary. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 218-A Trade Street, Greer, SC 29652.
Friends are invited to visit with the family Tuesday evening from five until eight o'clock at The Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
