Mary M. Szabo (nee Stelmasek), age 93, died on November 18, 2011. Mary was married to the late Carl for 68 years. They raised 3 children Carl M. (Victoria), James A. (Elaine) and Stephen J. (Sharon). She was blessed with 6 grandchildren Carl M. Jr., Veronica, Michelle, James Jr., Kevin, and Angela and 10 great-grandchildren. Survived by sister Emilie Stelmasek and in-laws, Andrew Szabo, Anne Kovach, Edward (Lucille) Szabo, Dolores Szabo and Elmer Szabo.
Mary was a housewife and family manager. She stressed education beyond high school. Her thrift enabled the family to move from Stoughton Avenue in Cleveland to a home on Horton Road in Garfield Heights. After her children left home she and Carl moved to an apartment on State Road in Parma. We kids knew Parma as Amrap thanks to Ghoulardi. After Carl passed away Mary moved in with Carl and Victoria for the pastoral life in Medina county. Angel, our dog, misses you Mom.
