Mary B. Ray, 88, of Lubbock passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010. She was born May 24, 1922 in Lockney, Texas to Bessie Irene (White) and Duward Clyde Hamilton, Sr. She graduated from Plainview High School and married James W. Ray on February 7, 1942 in Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1999. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Mary is survived by two sons, James W. Ray, Jr. and wife Jean of Lancaster, CA and Randy C. Ray and wife Cheri of Shallowater; a daughter, Sharon Blackburn and husband Joseph of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or the South Plains Food Bank
