Mary Rose DiMenna, 86, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 with her loving family at her side. Born on October 30, 1924 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Farago Amendola. Mary had devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her cherished friends. She worked for many years at Bamberger's in Eatontown, NJ and then at Leacock Table Cloth Industries in Washington, NJ before retiring to the Poconos and Florida. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Leonard A. DiMenna, who died on March 17, 2003. Surviving are her three children; Anita Romano, Leonard V. DiMenna, and Dorene Zuluaf and her husband Phil. She was the best grandmother ever to Andrea and Michael Romano, Rachel Zuluaf Lower and David DiMenna. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Hannah Romano and CeCelia Lower. Also surviving is a brother, Salvatore Amendola of Palos Heights, IL. A grandson, Frank, a sister, Josie and a brother, William all had died earlier. Contributions are requested to be made in her memory to St. Jude's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Mary Rose DiMenna.
