Mary M. Smith, age 64, of Minocqua, WI passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on November 6, 1947, the daughter of Thomas Richard and Evelyn Alice (nee Elliott) Rehm. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Oliver Smith; daughter, Dr. Kimberlee Smith of Seattle, WA; daughter-in-heart, Shannon Sutton (Tom Stanford) of Buffalo, NY; brothers, Jim, Dick, Bob (Peggy), John (Phyllis) and Lawrence (Barb); sister, Ruth "Dolly" Rehm; aunts, Rosie (Joe) Fashingbauer of Minocqua and Marilyn Nohr of Cedarberg, WI; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bogie (Paris Rivera) of Anchorage, AK and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary is further survived by many, many friends from Anchorage to Houston and from Washington to Virginia. A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Smith Residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rhinelander Animal Shelter, 1852 N. Stevens Street, Rhinelander, WI 54501 or a local chapter of the ASPCA.
