Mary Virginia "MV" Miller, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January, 11, 2012. Mary leaves behind sisters Sarah Miller and Katherine Miller Olsen, brother Bob Miller, father Ron Miller, Nieces Katie and Rebekah Miller, and nephews Soren and Preben Olsen. Her mother, Mary Miller, preceded her in death. Mary was born in La Grange, Georgia and raised in Fabius, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University in 1995, moved to Albuquerque soon after, and spent much of her adult life caring for children and their families as a pediatric intensive care nurse. Always striving to challenge herself, she left nursing to pursue a career in law, and earned her J.D. from UNM School of Law in 2007. Mary had a natural gift for playing. She made instant friends with most children (and plenty of grownups) she met. Mary shared a love of Faulkner with her mother, and they visited Oxford and Rowan Oak together more than once. She loved the California coast and sunshine. She also loved her family dearly, and was dearly loved by them. We will all miss her mordant wit, her intellect, and her beautiful, heartfelt generosity. Mary had recently become a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church. A service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., at St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church, 425 University Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
