Maureen M. Carr, 61, of Trenton, died peacefully at home, with her loving family by her side. She fought with dignity and strength against colon cancer for the past three years.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a longtime East Windsor and Trenton area resident.

Daughter of the late Pat and Margaret Notaro, she is survived by her husband and best friend, Rich; her devoted and loving children, Elizabeth and Patrick; her sister, Judy Notaro of Houston, TX; her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sue Notaro of Washington, PA; her "baby sister", Dorothy Lauterbach of Burgettstown, PA; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Howard Kauf of Mt. Lebanon, PA; seven nephews; two nieces; and four grand-nephews.

A special thanks to Nickie and Rick Lazarick, friends for over 30 years, who have been there through good and bad times.

Maureen was employed by the Princeton Regional School District for the past 17 years, and especially wants to thank her friends and co-workers in the Guidance Department, along with "Big Kat" and Jenni Griffin. Along with her family, these wonderful people encouraged her each and every day. Thanks for the memories.

She will be sorely missed by her special friends, "the Steel Magnolias", Suzanne Petrolonis, Sandy Barlow and Maria Sterns, who, like her co-workers, kept her spirits high. Keep those nights out going.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Wednesday, March 25, at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown, NJ.

Family and friends may call 3-8pm Tuesday, March 24, at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Princeton Regional High School, 151 Moore St., Princeton, NJ 08540, Att: Guidance Department.
