Max D. Fisher, 87, passed away peacefully and entered into his reward with his heavenly father on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne. Born in Wells County, IN, Max worked with international Harvester for 23 years and was a member of Colony Heights Church of Christ. He was a devoted husband and loving father who cherished his grandchildren. Max also enjoyed his red pop strawberry floats and was an avid Cubs fan. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Fisher of New Haven; son, Roger (Diane) Fisher of Fort Wayne; daughter, Diann (Mike) Mantle of Albion, IN; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Colleen) Fisher of Markle, IN; and sister, Bonnie (Karl) Denley of MN. Max was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ruby Fisher; and sister, Helen Seamen. Service is 12pm Saturday at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with Pastor Ron Walters officiating. Visitation is from 10am to 12pm prior to the service. Burial in Uniontown Cemetery, Zanesville, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Colony Heights Church of Christ or Heartland Hospice.
