Maxine J. Gettys, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Maxine worked as a Marketing Researcher with Peter Echrich & Sons for 24 years, retiring in 1985. She is survived by her sons, Gregg R. Gettys, Kent (Phyllis) Gettys, and Brian (Lora) Gettys all of Fort Wayne; brothers, Myron K. Meyer of Ft. Myers, FL, Mark B. Meyer of Martinsville, IN; 9 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Iris Meyer; husband, Richard Gettys. Service is 10:00 am Saturday at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue. Visitation is Friday 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
