Mellisa Lamontagne, age 34, of Manchester, NH died Saturday, August 15, at her home after a brief illness. Ms. Lamontagne was born on November 5, 1974 in Manchester the daughter of Robert J. and Linda (Stantial) Lamontagne. She was raised and educated in Manchester and graduated from West High School in 1992. She attended and graduated from St. Anselm College in 1996 with a bachelors' of arts degree. While in college she worked as a veterinary assistant and upon graduation from college she became a teacher. She taught at Central High School for one year and then became a chemistry teacher at Trinity High School for six years. She was a breeder of Australian Shepherd dogs and Britishshorthair cats which she competitively showed. She was a member of CFA and the American Kennel Club. She also enjoyed horseback riding. She was a former member of Brookside Congregational Church. Mellisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward W. Stantial and Elizabeth E. (Spoo) Stantial. Her family includes; her Mother Linda Lamontagne of Manchester; her father Robert J. Lamontagne of Manchester; an Aunt Joyce Stantial; two cousins, Kate & Sarah Stantial; Aunt Betty Jefferson; and many other family members. Calling hours are on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut Street, Manchester, NH. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Cemetery, 765 Brown Ave, Manchester. Reverend Dr. Dawn Berry of Brookside Congregational Church will officiate.
