Melvin L. " Bud" Curtis, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Coldwater, MI. Born in Fort Wayne, IN , Bud was a WWII Navy Veteran. He worked as a tool & die maker with General Electric for 43 years, retiring in 1984. He was Past president of Lodge 70, International Association of Machinist; past president of Allen County Central Labor Council; past member of Chancelors IPFW Fort Wayne; past president of the Fort Wayne Beagle's Club. He formed the original Regional Board of Trustees for Ivy Tech in Northeast Indiana. He served on the board until 1988, . Surviving are his son, Daniel L. (Denise Connell) Curtis of Auburn, daughters, Linda L. Curtis of Fayetteville, GA, Cinda S. Curtis of Fort Wayne 3 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by wife, Eileen Curtis. Service is 10:30 am Saturday February 11, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Friday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to Community Health Center of Branch County Home Health and Hospice Services, 300 E.
