Melvin S. “Shorty” “Brownie” Brown, age 95, of 705 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at his residence.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Geneva Sweitser, and husband of the late Jean M. Procasco Brown, who died in Aug. 1991.

Melvin was a mechanic’s helper and was employed from 1946-2002 by the Red Rose Buick and Suzuki Dealership, formerly Mohn Brothers.

Surviving are a daughter Donna M. Wise, of Lancaster; granddaughters Marie and Tracy; grandson Daniel; great-granddaughter Nicolle and great-grandson Eric.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Melvin’s Life Celebration Graveside Service at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Rd., Lancaster, PA, on Friday, August 5th at 2:00 PM with Rev.
