Melvina Semple

Melvina M. Semple was born in the Township of Dunn, September 19, 1911 to John and Sarah (Hoig) Larson. She grew up and lived in Dunn County most of her life. She passed away December 2, 2011 at the Dunn County Health Care Center at the age of 100.

Melvina married Fred Semple, February 25, 1927 at the Eau Galle Methodist Church. Ten children were born of this union.

Melvina was preceded in death by her husband, her son Michael, and her daughter Sara. Her parents, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, several grand children, 3 sons-in-law, and 2 daughters-in-law.

She is survived by her 4 sons and 4 daughters; Virgil (Margaret& June), Evelyn (Irvin) Jacobson, Robert (Mildred), Leslie (Dorothy), Mary (Al) Bauer, David (LaRayne) , Carol ( Don Schlueter & Sam Starr), and Lila (Duane Welch); 21 grandchildren 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She will be buried in Clearview Cemetery, Eau Galle following graveside services on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles DeMaris officiating.
