Mendy Renee Thacker, 33, of Martinsville passed from this life on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009 at 10:55 p.m. after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on February 10, 1976 in Bloomington, Indiana to Harold Michael Thacker and Linda Lee (Paul) Thacker, who both survive in Martinsville.

Mendy was a homemaker and dedicated mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and most importantly, her three children.

She leaves behind her parents, fiancé, Michael Hacker of Martinsville; son, Ron Kent of Martinsville; two daughters, Joyce Thacker and Angel Kent both of Martinsville; brother and sister-in-law, Greg & Ninna Thacker of Martinsville; niece, Emily Thacker; and three step-sons, Devin and Levi Hacker both of Martinsville and Cody Kersey of Cincinnati, OH.

Family and friends are encouraged to visit on Sunday, December 6th, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. A private graveside service and burial will be in New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
