Michael A. Bernard, 61, a retired store manager, of Warwick Avenue Warwick formerly of Mansfield, MA died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at home. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas L. and Brigita (Picozzi) Bernard, Sr. Michael is survived by two daughters, Shana A. Champagne and Kyla A. Jones; brother of Thomas L. Bernard, Jr. and his wife, Maureen and the late Donna M. Bernard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will be in Pocassett Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Lung Association, 1 State Street, Providence, RI 02908, will be appreciated.
