49 of Hardin, TX died Saturday June 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Ogdensburg, New York on January 4, 1963 to his parents Harry Robert Whalen Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Curry. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 21, 2012 in Many, Louisiana. He had lived in Hardin for twenty years and was a hard worker until becoming disable due to his sickness. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Brian Keith Whalen, survivors are his wife Laraine Whalen of Hardin, son Edward James Whalen of Hardin, daughter McKenahbriane Whalen of Hardin. Brothers Harry Robert Whalen Jr. of Many,LA James Patrick Whalen of Sasbeo, Japan Richard Allen Whalen of Many, La. Sisters Maureen Boak of Liverpool N.Y. Kathleen Eagles of Ogdensburg N.Y. Mary Ellen Stark of Springfield, MA Margaret Bourdage of Pulaski N.Y. and Anne Perez of Amite LA. Michael was a wonderful and caring husband, father and friend who would give you the shirt off of his back. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation service entrusted to the care of Faith & Family Funeral Services of Batson.
