Michael Charles Culpepper, 56, of the 3000 block Old Mill Road, passed away July 10, 2009, in his home.A Deep Creek native, he was a contractor in Chesapeake. He was predeceased by his father, Marvin Culpepper, Sr. He grew up in Deep Creek Baptist Church.He is survived by his mother, Ruby Munson Culpepper Trent, his brother, Marvin V. Culpepper, Jr. and his wife Betty, his sister, Gayle A. Hughes and husband Bill, all of Chesapeake, VA; his step-sister, Ann Pitt of Virginia Beach, VA; nieces, Elizabeth Coleman and husband Joey of Newport, NC, Cherie Mathews and husband Michael of Chesapeake, VA, Heather Culpepper of Chesapeake, VA, Melanie Paskalev and husband Rado of Chesapeake, VA and Meghan Culpepper of San Francisco, CA; and eight great nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel with Pastor Larry Ryals officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1/2 hour prior to the service. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
