Michael David Capp, 80, passed away at KU Medical Center on January, 31, 2012.
He was born on September 17, 1931 in Wyandotte County, Ks. He lived in Shawnee, Ks with his wife Ruth Gillespie Capp. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Capp and Harriet Capp, his sons, Steven Capp, Jim Marsh and Steven Marsh, his grandson Richard William Capp and his first wife Ada Mae Capp and one nephew. He had managed Mike's Skelly station on Parallel for over 30 years. Before retiring in 1993 he worked as a substitute custodian for 13 yrs in the USD 500 school district where his many skills were utilized all over the district.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, his children, Michael David Capp of Kansas, Richard E. Capp of Cabool, Mo, Deborah Kirk of Olathe, Ks, Sue Bottarini of Wichita, Ks, David Marsh of Wellsville, Ks, Paul Jeffrey Marsh of Shawnee, Ks and 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Charles Capp of Marietta, Ga, 2 nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:00 on Friday, Feb. 3rd at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Ks. Services will follow after which internment will be held at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, in Olathe, Ks.
