Michael J. Lovitte, a native and life-long resident of Mobile, died on Sunday June 26, 2011 at his residence. Mike retired from the Mobile Fire /Rescue Department as a paramedic/fireman. He is preceded in death by his father, M.J.(Sonny)Lovitte, Jr. and his brother, Gordon Lee Lovitte. He is survived by his wife Judy Lovitte of Mobile; his mother Thyra Jo(David)Lee of Mobile; two stepchildren, Tim(Robin)Street of Daphne, and Terri Murrill of Mobile; one brother, Shane(Michelle)Lovitte of Saraland; two sisters, Karen Rone of Mobile and Pam(Ron)Pearson of Houston, TX; three stepsisters, Micheaele Lee, Barbara(Tilly)Lee, and Janet Brown; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Wednesday June29, 2011 at 10AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday June 28, 2011 from 5 until 8PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
