MILLBURY/GRAFTON: Michael Casey, 52, passed away May 7, 2011 after being stricken ill at home. He is survived by his wife Debra (Balducci) Casey, his sons Sean Casey and Zachary Balducci and daughter Erin A. Hubbell and her husband Dan and his grandsons Matthew and Joshua Hubbell. Michael also leaves his sisters Kim Grant and her husband Daniel and Patricia Richer and her husband David, and several nieces and nephews. Michael was born October 1, 1958 in Worcester, son of Elaine (Shilinsky) and Donald J. Casey. He grew up in Grafton. Michael served in the US Air Force in Texas and North Dakota. Following his military service he worked at the Highway Department in Grafton for 22 years. He had a great appreciation for history, particularly of his own family and of the town of Grafton that he loved so much. Recently Michael was instrumental in restoring the fountain at the center of Grafton, a project he was proud to have been a part of. Whenever he could Michael loved to visit Northern Maine where he would hunt, fish, and take his off-road vehicle and simply watch the sunrise and sunset. He also loved his 52' Chevy which he recently restored. Michael will be remembered as a self-less, hardworking man who was always at the center of the conversation. He adored his children and would do anything for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
