Michael Gregg McKee was born in Pierre, SD, on September 28, 1961 to Robert and Susan (Roberts) McKee.
Mike grew up in Gregory and during his youth he participated in scouting, baseball, football, basketball and track. He graduated from Gregory High School in 1979 and then attended USD in Springfield, SD.
Mike was employed throughout his life in either ag related business or in the building construction business. During his working career he lived in Gregory, Kennebec and Onida.
Mike married Lynne Gayman Bohle on August 28th, 2004 in Onida.
Mike was an avid fisherman and caught many trophy sized fish. He spent many days, nights and weekends on the water in pursuit of walleye and considered his camper on Lake Oahe his main home. He considered a bad day fishing to be far superior to any good day working.
He died at his home in Onida on June 28, 1012.
Mike is survived by his father Robert and wife Maggie of Gregory; and his sisters Sandy McKee of Pierre, SD, and Amy Sachtjen (Jamie) of Colome, SD. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and two nephews and a niece and his ex-wife Lynne and her two sons, Brandon and Travor.
He is preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
