Michael Wayne Brown, 56 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas.
He was born on June 23, 1954 in Magnolia, Arkansas, was employed with LTV, Tyson, and SAU Physical Plant. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Magnolia Ham Radio Club.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ivan W. Brown, fraternal grandparents, Ivan Ben and Thelma Tedrow Brown, and maternal grandparents, Ervin Franklin and Katie Minerva Crow Smith.
Michael is survived by his mother, Dr. Kathryn S. Brown of Magnolia; sister, Dr. Kathy Brown King; two nieces, Katie King Meier and Lacey Michelle King; one nephew, Adam Meier; great niece and nephew, Jackson Montgomery Meier and Kadence Amelie Rose Meier all of Monticello, Arkansas; uncle, Ben E. Smith and wife Nell of Magnolia; three cousins, Mark Smith of Magnolia, Greg P. Smith of Kirby, Arkansas, Dr. Chris T. Smith of Austin, Texas; and a host of cousins in Kansas.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 10:00 am at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Ford officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Liberty Baptist Cemetery at Linnville, Louisiana under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Family visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
