Michael Wayne Mummert, age 49, of Bristow, died Monday, January 31, 2005 at Prince William Hospital.

Mr. Mummert was a member of New Life Christian Church. He was a tremendous testament to faith and courage having been on dialysis for over 20 years yet maintaining a keen sense of humor. Mr. Mummert was a loving father and teacher. He taught for 26 years with Prince William County Schools.

Survivors include his wife: Cheryl Mummert, parents: Howard and Ana Belle Mummert of Gettysburg, PA, children: Mandi Mc Fadden and her husband Ben of Warrenton, Andrew Mummert of the home, Abby Mummert of Manassas, Step children: Christina and Katherine Tassa both of Manassas, sister: Diane Yerkey and her husband John of Pennsylvania and 2 grandchildren: Chastity and Anthony McFadden both of Warrenton.

The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Price Funeral Home 9609 Center Street Manassas, where services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005 with Brett Andrews officiating. Interment Woodbine Baptist Church Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of flowers or contributions to New Life Christian Church P.O. Box 403 Centreville, VA 20122 in memory of Michael Wayne Mummert.
