Services for Michael Wilson "Mike" Shaw, 63, will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday at Leesville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Leesville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Albritton, John Mitchell, Ryan, Jeff, Kevin and Jeffery Shaw, Aaron Hendrix and Harold Scurry, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the B-L High School Class of 1964, and the Open Door SS Class of Leesville UMC. Memorials may be made to Leesville UMC, 510 East Columbia Avenue, Leesville, SC 29070 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel. Mr. Shaw passed away Thursday June 24, 2010. Born October 11, 1946 in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Homer W. Shaw and Marguerite Hite Shaw Grandy Taylor. Mike was a member of Leesville United Methodist Church where he served on several committees and taught Sunday school. He was a graduate of USC and was an avid Gamecock Fan. He worked with R J Reynolds Tobacco for 20 years in various Management positions in SC, GA and FL, and the last 10 years he owned and operated Sandhills Plants and Landscaping. Mike was a member of the Army National Guard for 6 years and was a member of the B-L Masonic Lodge # 138. Surviving are his wife, Kaye Kirkland Shaw, daughters, Tracey (Doug) Beede and Jennifer L. Shaw of Sarasota, FL, step-son, D. Kirkland (Jody) Rawl of Franklin, TN., step-daughter, Rhonda K. Rawl of Lexington, brother, Homer D. "Billy" Shaw of Leesville, grandson, Devin Beede, step-grandchildren, Kameron Rawl, Kaitlyn and Jasmine Thompson, niece, Debbie Hendrix, nephews, Jeffery (Donna) Shaw and Kevin Shaw, of Gilbert, a number of great nieces and nephews. Mike loved his God, his Country and his Family.
