Michelle Renee Scott was born November 17, 1962 to the late Theresa Scott and the late Leroy Scott. She died Monday, March 21, 2011 at her home. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Theresa Scott and her Father, Leroy Scott. Michelle accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and united with the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was a member of the North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship Church in Richardson, Texas. Michelle graduated from McCallum High School in 1980. She was an outstanding athlete and held the school record for the 60 yard dash. She attended Texas State University after graduating from high school. Michelle suspended pursuit of her college degree to assist in the care of her sick Father. She later completed her education at the University of Phoenix, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She began her business career with Girling Health Care in Austin, Texas working as an Account Receivable Clerk for seven years. After receiving her degree, she worked for Durham Transportation in Austin serving as an Account Analyst and managing banking relationships with six lending institutions. Later she moved to Dallas, Texas and was employed most recently by the Texas Lottery Commission where she worked as an Auditor for 11 years. Although she offered friendship and support to many people throughout her life, she gave her best to her family whom she loved dearly. Michelle was a dedicated daughter, taking care of her Mother, Theresa Scott during the later years of Theresa’s life. She leaves behind her brothers, Don Chiles (Sandra) of Frisco, Texas and Darrell Chiles of Austin, Texas; one sister, Sharon Scott of Austin, Texas; one uncle, Fritz Scott; one Aunt, Mary McKinley; two nieces, Erica Chiles and Tiffany Simms; two nephews, Brandon Chiles and Quinton Chiles; and a host of extended family and friends.
