Michael L. Schwartz, 57, of 10053 Carriage Drive, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, at his home, with his loving family, by his side. Mike was born on December 1, 1953, in Bluffton, Indiana, to Lorin and Dorothy (Foust) Schwartz. He was their only child. Mike married Donna Heinrich on December 17, 1977, in Noblesville, Indiana. Mike and Donna met while they were both teaching at Culver Community High School. Mike began teaching in 1976 as a business teacher in the high school. He had been the sponsor of BPA (Business and Professional Association) for 20 years, and was on the Indiana state executive board. He was one of the charter members of the Maxinkuckee Players, in Culver. He was involved with sports as the girl's volleyball coach and announced the football and basketball games. He was meticulous with numbers and saved all of the stats, which he charted for the basketball games, over the years. He volunteered on work camp trips, which were sponsored through his church. Mike visited almost every baseball stadium in the United States. He scrapped booked and participated in family activities in his spare time. He was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, in Plymouth. Mike is survived by his wife, Donna Schwartz; their daughters, Leslie Anne Schwartz of Wilmington, North Carolina and Amy Elizabeth (Chris) Jordan of Fishers, Indiana; his grandchildren, Seana Jordan and Charlie Jordan of Fishers; and his parents Lorin and Dorothy Schwartz of Bluffton.
