Funeral services for Milady Hilda (Vychopen) Skrabanek, 94, of Caldwell, are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell with Rev, Skip Stutts officiating. Interment will follow at the New Tabor Cemetery Pavillion, under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 1, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. also at Strickland Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Stephen Skrabanek, Marty Bryan, Byron Trahan, Joey Vychopen, Butch Zavodny, and Allen Garbs, Milady was born June 24, 1916, to Martin Vychopen and Frances Urbanovsky in Caldwell, Texas. Milady was a member of SPJST. She loved football, dancing, Polka music, and she spoke the Czech language fluently. Milady is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; Edward (Happy) and Suzanne Skrabanek of Caldwell, Paul and Debra Skrabanek of Caldwell, daughter and son-in-law; Patsy and James Muzny of Deanville, grandchildren; Roxanne and Marty Bryan, Tiffany and Kit Parkin, Stephen and Dana Skrabanek, and Ashley Muzny. Milady was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Skrabanek, Sr. in 1970, her parents, three brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter Rhonda Skrabanek Trahan.
