Graveside services for Milady Marie Shannon, 92, of Houston, are set for 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2011, at New Tabor Cemetery near Caldwell under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. Mrs. Shannon passed away September 21, 2011. Milady was born on November 13, 1918, to Rudolph Gold and Julie (Matus) Gold in Caldwell, Texas. Milady grew up farming and loved to gardening and growing her own vegetable garden. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, William Edwin and Bonnie Shannon of San Diego, CA, Robert Walter Shannon of Houston, James Kelly and Sharon Shannon of Richmond, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Paul Dunn of Cape Hatteras, NC; grandchildren; Shaun Marshall Dunn, Shannon Elizabeth Dunn, Elizabethy Kaycee Shannon, Sandra Marie Shannon, and James Kelly Shannon, II.
