Mildred Caroline (Bahner) Broscious, 97, of Evans, WV, formerly of Millersburg, PA, passed away July 27, 2011 at the Ravenswood Care Center, following a brief illness. She was born April 13, 1914 in Red Cross, PA, a daughter of the late Elijah and Amelia Caroline Rebecca (Lahr) Bahner. Her husband, Raymond Russell Broscious, three brothers, seven sisters, and a great granddaughter, Chandra Margo, also preceded her in death. She was a former employee of the shoe factory in Millersburg. She was a member of the Phoenix Chapter #15 Order of Eastern Star, Smethport, PA, and member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Millersburg, PA. She attended the Ripley Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She is survived by her son and his wife, Theodore Raymond and Ruthie Broscious of Leroy; grandchildren, Carl (Carolyn) Broscious of Oliver Springs, TN, William J. (Donna) Broscious of Ravenswood, Raymond (Connie) Broscious of Ripley, Janet (Larry) Langford of Evans, Barbara (Robert) Boardman of Sandyville; 15 great grandchildren and 19 great- great grandchildren. Service will be Saturday, July 30, 2011—7 p.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Minister Clifton McLawhorn officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. prior to time of service. Visitation will also be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Millersburg, PA. Graveside service and burial will follow in the Salem-Lutheran Cemetery, Killinger, PA.
