Mildred Croom Hefinger, 94, died August 20, 2011 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.
She was born in Garland, NC and lived in Stuart for 40 years, coming from Washington D.C.
She was a member of the Monarch Country Club and a parishioner of Grace Presbyterian Church in Stuart.
Survivors include her sister, Vernell Adams of Jensen Beach; nephews, Wayne Gause of Jacksonville Beach, David Benton of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Gregory Benton of New Hampshire; one granddaughter and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herman Croom and Robert Hefinger; her daughter, Ellen; sister, Mary Avis Benton; and brother, Ralph Cain.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 11:00AM at the Forest Hills-Young & Prill Chapel in Stuart. Burial will follow in Fernhill Memorial Gardens, Stuart.
